While surfing a Government website in my country, I accidentally came across a listing which displayed, a local company has paid a security deposit of $50,000 related to a permit application in the year 1999. And this deposit is still lying idle as unclaimed money with the local Government agency records for past 10 years.

I think, due to unknown reasons this particular company has forgotten to claim back from the Government agency the deposit $50,000. The probability could be the person from this company who went and paid the deposit could have left the job in this company or passed away and the management of this company has no idea of this transaction. The government agency also not bothered to make contact with the depositors all this while may be because they can earn interest as long as the depositors never come forward. Eventually, one day this particular Government agency is going to hand over the unclaimed monies to the Official Assigner office for disposal.

How do I go about to make contact with this local company and inform them about this deposit payment pending for claim? If I tell them the name of the Government agency and address, I am sure, they will immediately contact them directly and will claim the $50,000 without any difficulty because they have the company registration certificate to proof they are the rightful owner. And I will be ignored by them. How do I approach them and make them agree to pay me a fixed sum as finders fee for helping them to know about this unclaimed money? Do you think, I better engage a solicitor (lawyer) and make him/her to officially write to this local company to give me an undertaking to pay me the finders fee of a minimum 10%, so I can share 5% with the solicitor. Or is there any other way to approach them directly so I don't need to engage a solicitor and pay him 5% and I can earn 10% as finders fee?

Neither hubby or I even have any wealthy kinfolk so we can't inherit any money. That basically leaves the lottery and we could desire to have a dream, do no longer we? If we don't have a dream, how we gonna have a dream come authentic? ha ha (Bloody Mary sang it from South Pacific, for people who ask your self what i'm on approximately) besides, if we gained the lottery, i think of we would purchase a bungalow in a similar section we are residing at present day. i'm satisfied the place I stay yet, in years yet to come back, the stairs are going to enhance right into a discomfort i think of. the only ingredient is, i visit could desire to purchase the subsequent door bungalow too and convince my buddy/neighbour to go with us. i could purchase a house for our daughter or she could get our latest homestead if she needed it because it has a valuable backyard for her canine and a waiting-geared up hutch for her 3 ferrets, ha ha. Then, i could e book impressive aeroplane seats to Australia to pass to my sister. Oh specific, and hubby could desire to retire now. I ought to have placed that on the perfect of the checklist.
