There has never been a a king of Britain with the name Arthur. There would have been one in the 16th century if Arthur, Prince of Wales did not predecease his father, instead, Henry VIII came to the throne upon the death of Henry VII.

There have been several princes called Arthur, e.g. Arthur of Britanny (nephew of Kings Richard I and John) and Arthur Prince of Wales (eldest son of Henry VII), but no historical king has ruled with the name Arthur. However, King George VI was actually baptised "Albert Frederick Arthur George", so it was genuinely *one* of his names.

No king as yet has been named Arthur, in spite of the particular incontrovertible fact that the present Prince of Wales is Charles Phillip Arthur George. He has the spectacular to be sure on any of his names because of the fact the call via which he will pass via throughout his reign; in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, interior the previous, he has indicated that he could honor his grandfather, George VI of the united kingdom, and be referred to as King George VII.
