Do you think the marriage between Prince William and Kate Middleton will last?

They seem to be right for each other but as we have all seen in the past, Royal marriages have failed. Would Diana approve of his choice if she were alive today?

Yes, because Kate Middleton comes from a long line of female social climbers (as researched and reported in the press). Her mother Carole came from very humble beginnings in a government social housing scheme and worked as a flight attendant before marrying a middle class man, and Carole's mother was called 'The Duchess' because although she was married to a lorry driver she always made out she was an aristocrat to everyone - even her family said this on TV! So Kate has been bought up to think of social climbing as a way of life, and has done nothing over the last nine years except chase William. She refused to get a job even though she had a degree and was nearly 30. Her mother Carole has been supporting her financially so that she could be the mother of the future queen of England. There is no way that Kate Middleton is going to leave William under any circumstances.

I think Prince William has chosen the right lady to marry, Kate Middleton seems to be a perfect match for him. Prince Charles was not a perfect match for Princess Diana and that marriage was doomed from the start. Prince William will make sure that his marriage lasts and the same mistakes do not happen to Kate as happened with his mother. I wish them both well for the future and look forward to watching the wedding on the television.

Like all marriage's between two loving people, I do hope it lasts. Marriage needs give and take between the couple, respect and understanding, and the acceptance of the other persons faults or weaknesses, and the ability to support and help each other whatever happens in life.
I'm sure they will be able to do this, but who they are, and all the media watching at every corner must put a lot of pressure on them. If we allow them to keep a private life as well as a public one, then they will, I'm sure, succeed.
Think Diana would approve, but I'm sure she would be able to give plenty of advice to them from personnel experience.
Lets just wish them all the best, and keep our fingers crossed all works out well for them.

This relationship has been built on a solid foundation, so in my opinion I think it has a good chance of lasting many years to come.
It was never an arranged marriage. The relationship is all based on choice and they are very good for each other. I think this will be the beginning of a new trend were the relationship will last for this Royal Couple.

Hope so, but I think the odds are really against them.
Diana would not have improved. Kate gets a lot of attention, and we all know Diana wanted the attention on herself.

I think she'd approve. :)
As to whether they will last, who knows. Hasn't their relationship been very on and off though? If so, doesn't look good!
