Question:
What is the worst that can happen to Prince Harry over the Las Vegas scandal?

If the reports I saw were correct, Prince Harry already had a talking to with Prince Charles and perhaps Her Majesty the Queen. I understand that as a member of the military, he could face at least a verbal reprimand. Could there be more?

If more photos and videos come out, is it possible that Prince Harry could be required to give up his right to the throne? I hope not, but it seems that the press will not let this matter go. I'm not going to pass judgment on Prince Harry for what happened. It should have remained behind closed doors and whoever took those photos and are now trying to shop them around should be held accountable.

This is just as bad, imo, as when the paparazzi used to chase around the late Princess of Wales.

His security, which proved to be, if not non existent, certainly totally ineffective, will probably be replaced. It's their careers that are on the line, not Prince Harry's.

you mention the press, if I had my way, that disgusting and vile rag the Sun, would be shut down for carrying out a vindictive vendetta. Their pathetic excuse for publishing those pics was, to let those who do not have internet connection, join in the debate. It is simply filth, run by filth.

Well, consider this...these types of things go on in everyday life, Harry is not exclusive to this type of behaviour. However being a member of the royal family puts him in a glaring spotlight. I also don't consider the 'mate' who leaked the pics to be anything of the sort.

I imagine that he'll get a good talking to from his father, not sure about the Queen but apparently he's already been in touch with William so I'm sure he's had some advice and a more than a little chastising..

For all his escapades, he's also been actively involved with charity work and seems that Diana did a good job of instilling the values of compassion and caring in both her sons.

Naughty pics and scandal sells rags so this will play out for all it's worth in the yellow press...

Nothing. Every generation of this royal family has a "renegade royal".

Let me help you understand the reality of the royal family scandals. They are not responsible for their actions like normal people. Others are.

The last generation was Prince Andrew called in my day, "Randy Andy". He was a real bad-boy playboy too, even took up a serious romance with a porn queen named Koo Stark. Before that, the Queen's father had to become King in place of her uncle, who could not carry on as being King and abdicated due to scandal, after numerous scandals before and after.

None of these suffered. Only the staff that takes care of them and the media reporting it suffer.

Harry, like those like him before, will continue to do what they want, when they want, no matter what the cost. He has a future of more titles and giving grand parties.

Harry doesn't need your help. He has everything in the world, and doesn't care. He just looking for the next romp. People are playthings and money, like water. Place your cares elsewhere. Next generation, there will be another.

First of all, military personnel have pointed out that no military regulations were breached and nothing illegal was done. Prince Harry cannot be subjected to any military discipline.

As for having to give up his right to the throne -- of course not! This was a silly escapade, and ancestors of Harry have done far worse. There was absolutely nothing in this that would require Prince Harry to give up his place in the line of succession.

It's being blown way, way out of proportion by the media, which is giving the public the incorrect impression that it's some huge scandal that could ruin Prince Harry's life. That couldn't be further from the case.

If there's a video which clearly shows Harry engaged in sexual activity then it will be jolly embarrassing for him and he'll lie low for a few years, but it would have no impact on his place in the line of succession.

Video of him engaged in serious illegal drug use would be more damaging, but again there would be no question of him 'standing down' because his chances of succession are so remote. I guess further questions over his suitability would be asked if both Queen and Prince Charles die in the near future, before the Duchess of Cambridge has sprogged.

The worst that could happen is......nothing. The Queen may have given him a 'talking to', his father, likewise. But that's about it.

And Harry, if we know Harry, wouldn't have given a flying ******. Nothing will change. He'll still partake in his reckless affairs - but maybe the security people around him will be increased and ordered to be more vigilant of his (and his 'friends') escapades. No more 'photo ops', no more chance of 'leaks'.

That's all. Harry's a loose cannon. Always has been. Always will be. I think he's always known that there's only ever been a slim chance that he'll be King.

They'll make sure of it, now!

The WORST possible thing would be that Harry would internalise any of this crtiticism: He IS a Human Being, after all, and OWNS HIMSELF. He is NOT Prince Charles's property OR the Queen's OR the Public's, but his OWN PERSON. No-one else truly owns Harry, least of all the Military, which has had a member or two before NOW appear nude as well as drunken. As far "having" to give up his right to the throne, he could simply refuse to sign, and walk away without replying. The Queen's uncle David got BULLIED and BROWBEATEN into abdicating, when he really did NOT "have" to. By having AT David, hammer and tongs, night and day, they created in his mind an illusion that they could require him to Abdicate, but they really could not require it. The British beat their sons into craven submission and produce results like Hugh Grant: self-effacing and nerve-damaged, jibbering idiots who keep calling themselves "Idiot" and beating their heads against posts, as in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Englishman Went Up a Hill and Came Down a Mountain", and Hugh Grant stuttters and stammers nervously as George VI did: because the English beat and browbeat their sons into nervous, quivering jellies and call it "Manners". It isn;t really "polite", it's just nerve damage!

Hardly (give up his right to the Throne). He may be in big trouble when it comes to his occupation (the military) however. We'll see. I can't see him in The Tower over this however. He's committed no crime although he has shown, big time, how immature he is, which is worrying. Whether done behind closed doors or not, the lad is rather obviously showing a fatal lack of judgement which is hardly military material now is it.

As he is third in line it is not inconceivable that he could be Head of State in ten years time.

These photos will be displayed whenever he appears in public and he will be the cause of national humiliation for the UK

I think the worse that can happen is that Harry won't be sent on any official trips until he leaves the military. That is probably the worst case scenario.

Harry is so far back in line now, it's unlikely he'll ever see the throne anyway.

I doubt if there will be any more sanctions.

He will be in the "hot seat" for a while so that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge can get on with their lives.

I don't really think Harry cares. If he did he would not be acting that way in the first place.
