Most hospitals and institutions that have internet access also have monitoring systems about how the system is being used.

No nurse should neglect patient care at all in favor of playing on the computer. During breaks that is another story, but during actual on-duty time, it is unethical and against almost any instutitional policy.

There are also legal ramifications if a patient "goes bad" during the time that nurse was responsible for that patient and was unavailable for care.

Well, should an aircraft dispatcher goof off all day on Answers or send planes out on time? Same difference. Have fun Nurse!

No the nurse should be taking care of business. No that is not what makes insurance so high...it's because of a sue happy nation making frivolous suits! Stump your toe on a rock in the street sue the city. Drink hot coffee sue the resturant because it's hot yada yada yada...

Not if she goes to the health and well being section and she answers questions for desperate ill people there. She´ll be taking care of patients as well!

No. Not all day, but if you go on for awhile in the health area and answer questions then you are being helpful to some.

no because they should be helping the patients feel better and you should do yahoo later so you can get your work done.
