It has been all over every news station where I live, Maine USA, and I'm getting sick of it. Nearly everybody in my area doesn't care about the wedding and most of the state says the same according to polls online. I'm wondering if it is just Maine or if anyone else or any other state or any other country feels this way? Do you care about the Royal Wedding? Explain why or why not please.

Well I do care. I am from NZ and was amazed that on the radio today they were asking if the public thought you'd lose your manhood if you were interested in watching it. Apparently many males from panelbeaters to army personnel rang in to say they were proud to admit that they were going to watch it. A big thing considering we have a major basketball final tonight too.

You know what, I live in Utah and leading up to the wedding, I seriously was bugged that all the stations were giving all this buildup about a wedding for a royal couple with no power in a country that I've never been to and have no relatives from. Anyway, I stayed up until 2 am to start watching the coverage, and I actually now think that the whole thing was pretty cool!

I learned some cool stuff about the royal family, and I actually think that this Royal Wedding was as significant as the World Cup, the Olympics, or a bunch of the other international events that we all tune in for, even though we don't really care that much about 90% of it. I went off about it in my blog actually, you can check it out if you like: http://jwinski.wordpress.com/2011/04/30/the-royal-wedding/ :)

No. Don't care much. I was watching for a while but got tired of hearing all these commenters talking about the wedding dress, the royal family... etc. Just turned TV off 30 minutes ago and decided to go to bed.

I'm sure in the morning we'll all get bombarded by all the details again, along with the visuals, for many, many, many days to come. So... Although I'm about to miss the wedding going LIVE on TV, I won't miss a thing!

Curious that is all.

I thought it was wonderful that there was a woman that attempted and succeeded creating a portrait of the royal newly weds with coffee as the sole watercolor. I think she gave it away free of charge as a wedding gift.

I really don't find much of this like a fairy tale, Walt Disney imprinted, or that appealing for that matter. Real fairy tales are the sh_t, the little mermaid actually died at the end, shortly after "her beloved Prince" was betrothed to another. Bruhaha! I didn't read it yet. ;_; Not only that, I was reminded that Alexander McQueen committed suicide. No beef against Sarah Burton of course.

Anyways I hope this will cheer everyone up...especially with the spectacle we have in today's reality.

The Royal Wedding isn't a big deal because you're not invited.

Explain why .... why, because I love my cats. I know them very well and they're a big part of my life. They are kind, sweet and so giving. They deserve to have their cat boxes refreshened, and will change their water again as well. Plus the stars are out so thought it wld be so nice to gaze up above & be mesmerized as nature often calls me to unite to the earthly beings, natural atmosphere, and continue to be in awe with spring.

What does this "royal image" of two ppl who will never know me have anything to do with more important things in my life? That's why.

Nobody gives a crap about the wedding, but it's not like anything else is on at 5 am here.

yes, I do, because it's romantic, the groom is part of a legacy, it's a big day for both of them. And it'd be a nice distraction from every day life. It's all about tradition which is a sure thing in this ever-changing world. I'm happy for them.

I care to the extent that I hate these royalist cretins and hope their day is ruined. They'll be separated in five years anyway.

^^^^^ Again, deirde, great answer. Good to see some sensible people posting. I expected this place to be a royalist lovefest.

I'm British, and don't give a crap about the wedding, or the country.

I'm starting the countdown to the inevitable divorce. William spent his whole life with parents who were having affairs with other people & I think it's going to effect him.

Nope!! Don't give a crap about it. Watching it will not help me pay the rent so I am going to work. Something relevant to MY life!
