Question:
Do Royalists believe in the monarchs divine right to rule over his/her subjects?

Because if not. Why should this person rule?

Also in the case of Britain. Do you believe it's the Queen's divine right to ... not exactly rule, or even pretending to rule. Does she have the divine right to do whatever it is she is supposed to be doing.

Which is better. Divine right given to a mere mortal by some fairytale higher power to rule over other mortals. Or a majority vote by the common people when choosing their leader to represent them?

Why are you even bothering trying to educate the royalists mate? We all know they're a flock of starry-eyed reprobates who defend these royal spongers regardless of how repugnant their views are.

They have no shame, or self-esteem. How else can you explain someone willingly deferring to another human being?

EDIT: nah, It's never interesting to see any of the unoriginal, bland responses from any of the the dullards.

The British monarch hasn't "ruled" for more than 350 years. The concept of Divine Right died (on the executioner's block) with Charles I.

Our current Monarch is a constitutional figurehead, with no political power whatsoever.

We keep the monarchy because we are a conservative (small c) and practical people. The institution works. The only alternative would be to become a republic, and we couldn't stomach that.

Not being a monarchist myself, I really shouldn't be answering your question BUT I don't think that it has anything to do with being loyal subjects well IMO anyways....it's more of a celebrity thing these days with the royal family...I'm sure to be lambasted by some for that.

btw...why do people insist on speaking in terms of 'ruling over her subjects' when it comes to the Queen? Don't you ll know by now that she wields NO POWER and the reason she stays where she is, is simply because it is very costly and economically unstable to become a republic? The Queen (monarchy) is the one constant and stays out of government affairs.

Divine right of kings goes way back to caveman days! The dude with most brains & leadership etc. One man ruling is better than a thousand others! Check out the movie "Patriot" starring Mel Gibson.

Honey pie, no one has believed in the divine right of kings in the UK since the late 17th century.

You and your little friend aren't very well educated are you? Perhaps you should go back to school. You're making everyone here yawn with your little rants.

Edit: By the way, we've heard all this before, so don't think you're being original in any way. However, if you keep it up, then we'll have to get serious about reporting you. Repeated rule violations like this become very boring.

And yes, you can block me, but there are other ways to report, so don't waste your time.

No, they don't believe in divine right, no the Queen doesn't rule, ok or otherwise, there are no "subjects" we are all citizens.

Why do silly little people, keep repeating the lies of "divine right" and of "ruling" and the people being "subjects"?

Why do those silly little people keep repeating the lies that the Queen, personally, steals taxpayers money? and that her relatives and all the aristocracy, live off the taxpayers money? The only answer can be, sheer ignorance.

look to your own country before you criticise ours ..Since when did Hungary become the shining light of democracy that the rest of us should be striving to emulate
